* Although most county public schools are elementary, middle and high schools, each county maintains other educational buildings as well to meet the diverse needs of its students. Buildings overseen by county education boards include special needs facilities, vocation and technical institutes, accelerated learning centers, and combination schools that cater to grades of more than one core group.
