• Beaten Biscuits
  
  Dinner biscuit made from dough beaten with a wooden mallet or dowell for twenty to thirty minutes.

  Chicken, Maryland
  

  Pan-fried, then steamed, breaded chicken, served with a white cream gravy.

Crab Cakes

Broiled or sauteed crabmeat cakes made from crabmeat, onions, crackers or breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, egg, and mayonnaise, as well as other ingredients to taste.

Crab Dip

A creamy, cheesy dip made with crabmeat and Old Bay seasoning.

• Crab Salad
  A unique blend of creamy and spicy. A salad using crabmeat, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, as well as pepper sauce or Tabasco.

  Crab Soup

  Tangy tomato-based soup, filled with crabmeat and vegetables.

  A smoothe and creamy alternative to traditional crab soup.

• Crabs, Soft-Shell (Fried)
  Lightly Breaded, and deep-fried a golden brown.
  Blue crabs are cooked just after molting.

  Breaded and stuffed with a seafood mixture, usually sautéed, but can be baked or fried.

  Dover Cake

  Pound cake flavored with nutmeg and rose brandy.

  Elkridge Huckleberry Pudding

  Fruity pudding served either hot or cold.

  Ham, Southern Maryland Stuffed
  

  Corned ham, usually stuffed with kale, cabbage, and onions.

  Additional seasoning may be added, with hams being baked or boiled.

  White cake with a white frosting, mixed with fruits and chopped nuts.

  Oysters dipped in batter and fried.

  Oyster Pot Pie
  

  Oysters and vegetables, baked in a flaky crust.

  Oyster Stew
  

  Light and creamy soup made with oysters.

  Peach Pot Pie

  Pie made from peaches, brown sugar, and Madeira wine.

  Smith Island Cake

  Maryland State Dessert. An 8- to 10-layer cake originating on Smith Island, Somerset County.

  Thirds Bread

  Loaf made from cornmeal, graham flower, and rye meal.
